So far only got his/her entries in before the deadline, and will therefore win the grand prize by default. If you are still interested in the 2nd place or 3rd place prize, or just want to participate and practice, please be noted that the deadline will be extended for 10 days and will now be Dec. 11th.

This is a club mainly focused on self-motivation and self-improvement, and it's up to you how often you choose to participate. But I'd like to know how many of you are still interested in the club to keep our member list up to date. Also, if you are interested in helping manage the club or have any suggestions for improvement, please do discuss either by note or by replying to this journal.

This club will be updated on a monthly basis from now on. Each vol. will contain 4 subjects, and you are encouraged to do 2 if not all 4 of them.

Subjects for Vol. 10:

010A: Design your alien
What does it look like? What does it eat? Where does it live? What's its story? You can go as simple and as complex as you want.

010B: War emblem
If you were a warrior who's rich enough for your own custom gears, what would you put on it? From bloody hand prints to cute chibi animals, anything goes, just like the rest of the themes in this club.

010C: Plant love
It's green but not always, flowery but not always, twisty but not always, tasty but not always... what's not to love?

010D: Ride of choice
Draw your transportation in RL, or transportation in dreams. It could be anything... and the best part would be you sitting on it.

To celebrate the 10th umm... vol anniversary to this club, there will be a vote-off after the deadline of Vol .010, over the Vol. 010 entries.

1st place: a full-colored, one-subject commission.
2nd place: a one-subject sketch.
3rd + 4th place: nomination of a vol. 012 theme, if you want to

Mission of the club:

1. Get artists (especially lazy ones) to work.
2. Get inspired.
3. Get more skillful.
4. Get... gee, never mind... just have fun.

How the club works:

On the 1st and 15th of every month, two subjects will be posted here. You may choose one to work from, but you are encouraged to do both.

As long as your work somewhat adhere to the subjects, pretty much anything that doesn't violate dA policy goes. You can work in any media you want, your work can be as sketchy or as finished as you'd like, and you can interpret the subjects rather loosely. In fact, the best works are the ones where you go a little extra mile and push yourself out of your comfort zone.

Post your work(s) before the deadline of the current volume on dA and send the club a note with title "Vol.X Entry" (X is the number of the volumn you are working for). Your work will then be posted in the club gallery for all to see, and you will be credited and linked to on the deviation.

If you finish the work after the deadline, well... at least you'll have another piece for your own dA gallery, and that's always a good thing

Rewards and Punishments:

There is no reward other than achieving the mission statement of the club. This is a practice club and will hopefully provide a rewarding experience.

There is no punishment for skipping volumns, but you will be removed from the club if you do not submit anything for 3 months (6 volumns.) You are, however, encouraged to try and participate in every volumn.

Rules for critique:

Please fav or comment on the original deviation only. When members give each other comments, it is important to be constructive yet encouraging. Do remember that this is a practice club, and people are doing this to get better. This by no means prohibit you from giving your honest opinion, but if you do so in a tactful way everybody will benefit from it.

Please send a note to the club titled "join," and briefly introduce yourself. At the same time, please watch the club and add it on your journal. You will be added to the club member list within a week, as well as get on the watchlist of the club.
